Message Server Configuration

Message Server Overview, Configurations Dialog

Server configuration allows modification of all parameters related to a message server. These include settings that affect machine performance, like IPC buffer size or message server memory usage, connectivity settings like IP address and port, and Enterprise features such as message handling and forwarding.

Configuration information is stored in workspaces and uploaded to message servers as read only information. This allows for central configuration of a group of machines and for testing of selectors contained within configurations against log messages before deploying them. Configurations can be uploaded via TCP/IP from a viewer to any number of remote servers or saved to disk as a file and manually copied to the configuration file location established by the setup application.
