Life After DiamondSierra: How Enterprise Technology Led Us to Modern Online Fundraising

When DiamondSierra.com retired, it marked the end of an important chapter—and the beginning of something entirely new.

DiamondSierra was built as a robust enterprise logging and monitoring suite at a time when large-scale system observability was still evolving. As technology stacks shifted and modernized, the cost and complexity required to fully rewrite and maintain the DiamondSierra platform no longer made sense. Rather than force a rebuild that didn't align with the direction of the market, we made the strategic decision to step away.

That transition created space for reinvention.

From Enterprise Systems to Helping People

Stepping away from DiamondSierra wasn't stepping away from technology—it was redirecting it.

Our background in enterprise debugging, system reliability, and transaction integrity naturally led us toward projects where precision mattered just as much, but where the impact was more human. That's when we began working with organizations that needed dependable technology to support fundraising, community engagement, and charitable causes.

We quickly realized that fundraising platforms suffered from many of the same problems we had solved in enterprise systems:

  • Fragile transaction handling
  • Scaling failures during high-traffic events
  • Poor data integrity
  • Limited transparency

This was a problem we knew how to solve.

Pioneering Online Raffle Fundraising Technology

In the mid-2000s, we began developing what would become one of the earliest online raffle ticket generator systems. At the time, ecommerce itself was still maturing, and digital raffles were largely manual, risky, or outright unavailable.

Enterprise Debugging Mindset

Our approach was shaped by years of enterprise systems work, focusing on bulletproof transaction processing and secure ticket generation.

High-Volume Capability

Systems capable of handling large volumes and peak demand without failure.

Trust & Transparency

Clear audit trails for accountability and trust at every step.

As ecommerce platforms matured, so did our technology.

WP Raffle: Bringing Raffles to WooCommerce

As WordPress and WooCommerce became dominant forces in ecommerce, we saw an opportunity to make raffle fundraising accessible to anyone—not just large organizations with custom systems.

That led to the release of the Raffle Ticket Generator for WooCommerce, now available at wpraffle.com.

WP Raffle allowed nonprofits, clubs, and small organizations to:

  • Run raffles directly on their own WordPress sites
  • Use WooCommerce's trusted checkout system
  • Maintain full ownership of their data
  • Avoid expensive third-party platforms

It was a natural evolution of everything we had learned from enterprise software—packaged into a tool that everyday organizations could actually use.

Founding Chance2Win: Fundraising Without Platform Fees

As raffle fundraising continued to evolve, we recognized a bigger problem in the nonprofit space: platform fees were eating into donations.

That insight led to the founding of Chance2Win.org.

Chance2Win was built to help organizations:

  • Raise more money with modern online raffles
  • Eliminate unnecessary platform fees
  • Scale effortlessly during high-demand events
  • Operate with transparency and reliability

The same principles that powered DiamondSierra—stability, scalability, and trust—now power Chance2Win, but with a mission-driven focus on helping organizations keep more of what they raise.

A New Chapter, Built on Proven Foundations

While DiamondSierra has retired, its DNA lives on in everything we do. From enterprise logging systems to online raffle fundraising, the throughline has always been the same: build systems that don’t fail when they matter most.

Today, that philosophy supports nonprofits and community organizations through WP Raffle and Chance2Win.
